Border Control

 Since the growth of population in Mexico started reaching a high point, the U.S. has enforced the protection of our southern borders. Since the boom of the populous in Mexico, the U.S.-Mexico border has become the second largest of border crossings in the world. The border itself spans a length of 1,954 miles from the Californian coast to the borders of Texas. However, only less than 700 miles of the border is under effective control. The border was at one point guarded by the U.S. army, but after 9/11 the army has had to attend to larger priorities. With the Mexican drug war raging and the high population, immigrants have been attempting to escape into the U.S. at any cost, most of the crossings being illegal.

The problem with having so many illegal immigrants coming into the country is...well there's quite a few. First of all, the immigrants have been bringing in new diseases such as the H1N1 flu virus. Most immigrants that come through the border are bringing diseases with them into the country. Also, the immigrants who come over take jobs in our country for a very pay. And with so many entering the country, a large amount of jobs that Americans could have are being taken up by illegal aliens. Third of all, we already have people that can't be taken care of, what with a large population, only so many citizens can be provided for, so we don't need more people to add to the population. Fourth, there are passing an extremely large amount of drugs into the country using underground tunnels. Recently a tunnel was discovered with approximately 25 tons of marijuana, running from Tijuana to San Diego. Finally, they're coming in ILLEGALLY.

Gun Control

 The 4th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States gives us the right to bear arms. That right allows us to protect ourselves or protect other. We even use firearms to hunt, which provides us with food.

 But, with the right to bear arms, we also have the compulsion to use them against others. What with murders and gang hits, the 4th Amendment is put into question. Should we have the right to bear arms? Guns are constantly used to kill others everyday.

 With respect to all "controlled" gun owners out there, the 4th Amendment does not have a fault. Guns are no different than a knife or the cars we drive. Anything can be used to commit murder. This is why we are allowed to heave firearms. If we are attacked or robbed, we have the provisions to protect ourselves from danger. There are also dangerous creatures in the wild, with a firearm we can keep ourselves safe from wilderness creatures such as bears.

 The U.S. law enforcement can grant us a permit to carry a concealed weapon that can be used for protection in public areas. To allow this permit, they are showing that they trust us enough to walk around in public with a weapon. With regard to those who carry weapons such as AK-47s and Uzis, those weapons are obtained through discretion without the knowledge of the law. So, those who carry such weapons, carry them in stock and are intending to use for wrong means. They are the ones who infringe upon their rights.

You have the right to carry weapons. So, it's your responsibility to use them for the right purpose.
